In response to the wishes of the majority of FSB exhibitors and with the agreement of the advisory committee, FSB, the International Trade Fair for Amenity Areas, Sports and Pool Facilities, will be following a different schedule starting in 2013. The event will now be held over four days, from Tuesday to Friday (Tuesday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Taking place in parallel, aquanale, the International Trade Fair for Sauna, Pool, Ambience will also shift to Tuesday to Friday. As a result, the next FSB and the next aquanale will be held from 22nd to 25th October 2013 at exactly the same time in Cologne. “The goal of the change in schedule is to give decision-makers from municipalities and clubs — and of course the many international visitors — four days, which means more time, to visit FSB,” explained Katharina C. Hamma, Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse GmbH. “We are also putting the focus on themes and challenges that municipalities and clubs are currently addressing. With the new measures, we want to attract more representatives from these target groups to FSB.” A “Municipality Day” and a “Sports Club Day” are also planned. Visitors from these target groups will enjoy their own workshops as part of the specialist support programme. These workshops are being prepared in conjunction with diverse national sport and municipal associations. Starting in 2013, the swimming pool areas of the FSB and aquanale will be located in joint halls, Hall 10.1 and Hall 10.2. The swimming pools and wellness areas will be clearly divided into “theme worlds”. “In this way we will create a holistic, clearly laid out representation of the public swimming pool, private swimming pool and sauna segments.” said Hamma.
